This handcrafted custom cedar hope chest made as a Christmas gift for Catherine's husband William took a year as the first time she called it was in November and much too late for us to make it for Christmas that year, but she knew value when she saw it and called again in July so it would be ready Christmas 2002. Catherine chose African Mahogany, Light Birdseye Maple, Purple Heart, and Aromatic Cedar from our list of woods for this special Heirloom Chest. It is in a Walker style chest with a triple framed lid and scroll foot base. A Blanket size, it measured 36 inches wide 19 inches deep and 22 inches high with feet.
