Dastouri's  White Oak  Chest

This handcrafted custom cedar hope chest was made for Terri.  A choice of White Oak, Quarter sawn White Oak, and Aromatic Cedar was made from our list of woods for this special Heirloom Chest. It is a panel style chest with a "Regal" cushion lid and original base. A blanket size, it measured 36 inches wide 19 inches deep and 19 inches high with feet. .

Terri chose the classic look of the flat panel style box and cushion lid to go with the classic look of White Oak.
Aromatic cedar lines the floor and lid to protect your favorite woolens
Two counter balance hinges keep the lid open until you want to close in your special possessions.
"Regal" tapestry cushions the top for comfortable sitting.
An oval engraved name plate makes this chest a little more special.
Terri chose these strong solid Oak trim rail lifts to help lift and move this soon to be heavier chest.
A close up of the center panel shows the book matched  quarter sawn White Oak with its typical ray structure showing up as cross grain light highlights of  figure.
